Day 21 Philadelphia

Liberty Bell

Independence Hall

room where Constitution was written

Oldest pub in Philly  est. 1860
A really great day today.  Crystal clear blue skies, only a light wind and 60 degrees.  Downright balmy compared to the last few.  We left our hotel about 9:30 this morning and walked around all day.  They have a great walking tour map and we made good use of it.

I must admit we did not take the picture of Independence Hall as it is being restored and is completely encased in scaffolding and plastic. We took a picture of the picture of it but the sky behind the scaffolding was as blue as the sky in that picture.  Notice the chandelier in the Constitution room picture, just beautiful.

We also went to the Betsy Ross house and the U.S. Mint, a real highlight for David as he is a coin collector.

Dinner tonight was at McGillian's old Ale House, the oldest pub in Philly.  Great fun and food.
More adventures planned tomorrow including the Constitution Museum and Antiques Row.
